Dazit M Tablet combines Desloratadine, an antihistamine, and Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, to effectively manage symptoms of allergic rhinitis (both seasonal and perennial), chronic idiopathic urticaria, and long-term asthma. Desloratadine works by blocking histamines that cause allergic reactions, while Montelukast prevents leukotrienes, substances in the body that cause allergy and asthma symptoms. This combination alleviates symptoms like nasal congestion, sneezing, itching, and hives, and helps in asthma control. Typically taken once daily, this medication can be consumed with or without food. Common side effects include dry mouth, headache, stomach pain, and dizziness. It is not suitable for children under 12 years, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or individuals with severe kidney impairment or a history of seizures.
