Dutoid Capsule is used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. It shrinks the size of the enlarged prostate gland to relieve symptoms like pain and difficulty in passing urine. Dutoid Capsule should be taken by mouth with or without food. This medicine is given for a long time and takes a few months to show its effects. Thus, it is important to take it as advised by the doctor and complete the full course of treatment. Common side effects of Dutoid Capsule include low sexual drive, ejaculation disorder, breast enlargement, and breast tenderness. If any of these side effects bother you, consult your doctor for guidance. It is advised not to donate blood for 6 months after taking the last dose of Dutoid Capsule. Let your doctor know if you have any other preexisting medical conditions before using this medicine. Let your doctor also know if you have a history of allergic reactions to any of the ingredients in this medicine. Dutoid Capsule is not indicated for use in women.

How it works:
Dutoid Capsule is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It blocks an enzyme that is necessary to change testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow. As a result, it helps to shrink the prostate and relieve symptoms like difficulty in passing urine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dutoid Capsule may be taken with or without food.

Safety Advice: Alcohol: It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Dutoid Capsule. Please consult your doctor. Pregnancy: Dutoid Capsule is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
Dutoid Capsule is contraindicated in women. Partners should use protection during intercourse. Breast feeding: Dutoid Capsule is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
Dutoid Capsule is not indicated for use in women. Driving: Dutoid Capsule does not usually affect your ability to drive. Kidney: Dutoid Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data suggest dose adjustment may not be needed. Liver: There is limited data available on the use of Dutoid Capsule in patients with liver disease.
Use of Dutoid Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
