Diane 35mg Tablet is a combined oral contraceptive pill containing Cyproterone acetate and Ethinylestradiol. It is used to treat skin conditions such as acne, oily skin, and excessive hair growth in women of reproductive age. Additionally, it serves as a contraceptive, preventing pregnancy. Cyproterone reduces male hormone levels, thereby mitigating symptoms of androgenization, while Ethinylestradiol helps regulate the menstrual cycle. The tablet is taken daily for 21 consecutive days, followed by a 7-day break, during which a withdrawal bleed usually occurs. Common side effects include nausea, weight gain, headaches, mood changes, and breast tenderness. It is crucial to take the tablet at the same time each day for optimal effectiveness. Before starting this medication, consult with a healthcare provider, especially if you have a history of blood clots, liver disease, or certain cancers.

Take DIANE 35MG daily for 21 days, following the schedule indicated on the strip of pills, which is marked with the days of the week. It is important to take your pill at the same time every day. Begin with the pill that corresponds to the current day of the week and continue taking one pill each day according to the arrows on the strip until all 21 pills have been taken. Swallow the pill whole with a glass of water; do not chew it. After finishing all 21 pills, you will have a seven-day break with no pills. During this break, you should experience a withdrawal bleed similar to a menstrual period. If you are using DIANE 35MG for contraception, follow these instructions precisely. You do not need additional contraception during the seven-day break if you have taken your pills correctly and start the next strip on time. Consult your doctor if you are unsure. Begin your next strip of DIANE 35MG on day eight, even if you are still bleeding. For example, if you take the last pill of one pack on a Friday, start the first pill of the next pack on the following Saturday. Always start the new strip on time and on the same day of the week. If you take more than one DIANE 35MG pill, it is unlikely to cause harm, but you may experience nausea, vomiting, or vaginal bleeding. Contact your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms. If you miss a pill and are less than 12 hours late, take it as soon as you remember and continue with your regular schedule. If you are more than 12 hours late or have missed more than one pill, your contraceptive protection may be compromised. In this case, take the most recently missed pill as soon as possible, even if it means taking two pills at once. Before stopping DIANE 35MG, consult your doctor for guidance.
