Azulix MF 2mg Tablet is a combination medication used to manage Type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains Glimepiride, which stimulates the pancreas to release insulin, and Metformin, which reduces liver glucose production and enhances insulin sensitivity. This dual action helps maintain optimal blood sugar levels. Regular blood tests are recommended to monitor blood sugar levels while on this medication. It is not advised for patients with liver or kidney issues, pregnant or breastfeeding women. Common side effects include hypoglycemia, nausea, and headaches. Always consult with a healthcare provider before starting or adjusting the dosage of this medication.
Active Ingredients: Contains Glimepiride 2 mg and Metformin 500 mg. Uses: Used to treat Type 2 diabetes mellitus by improving blood sugar control. Mechanism: Glimepiride stimulates insulin release from the pancreas, while Metformin decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity. Cautions: Not suitable for individuals with kidney or liver disease, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Monitor for signs of hypoglycemia. Side Effects: Common side effects include hypoglycemia, nausea, dizziness, headache, and gastrointestinal discomfort.
AZULIX MF 2MG TABLET regulates blood glucose levels through two mechanisms: glimepiride enhances insulin release from the pancreas, reducing blood glucose levels, while metformin decreases glucose production in the liver, slows glucose absorption from the intestine, and enhances insulin sensitivity in the body.
