Brinzox T Eye Drops 5ml is a combination of Brinzolamide and Timolol, used to treat increased intraocular pressure in adults suffering from glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It works by decreasing the production of aqueous humor, thereby reducing the pressure inside the eye. This medication is typically used when other treatments with beta-blockers alone have not been effective. How it works:
BRINZOX T EYE DROPS reduce intraocular pressure by decreasing the production of aqueous humour, the lubricating fluid in the eye. This reduction in fluid production alleviates strain on the eyes and lowers elevated intraocular pressure.
Directions for use:
Use BRINZOX T EYE DROPS as directed by your physician. This medication is for ophthalmic use only. Wash your hands before and after application. Tilt your head slightly and gently pull the lower eyelid downwards. Instill a few drops of the medicine into the affected eye(s). Close your eyes and press the corner of your eye with your finger for a minute. Avoid touching the tip of the dropper to your eye or any other surface to prevent contamination. After applying BRINZOX T EYE DROPS, wait at least 5 minutes before applying other eye drops or ointment. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before applying BRINZOX T EYE DROPS and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration of therapy based on the severity of your condition. Do not stop using BRINZOX T EYE DROPS without consulting your doctor, as the intraocular pressure may increase again.
Warning & Precaution:
ALLERGY CONTRAINDICATED: Do not use BRINZOX T EYE DROPS if you are allergic to Brinzolamide, Timolol, sulphonamides (such as glipizide, gliclazide), diuretics (such as furosemide), or any other beta-blockers (e.g., labetalol). PREGNANCY CONTRAINDICATED: BRINZOX T EYE DROPS is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women. Consult your doctor for advice before using it. BREASTFEEDING CONTRAINDICATED: BRINZOX T EYE DROPS is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor for advice before using it. LUNGS CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR: BRINZOX T EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in patients who currently have or previously had lung problems such as asthma or COPD. It should be used with caution in patients with breathing difficulties. Consult your doctor before using it. HEART DISEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR: BRINZOX T EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in patients with heart problems such as slow or irregular heartbeat or heart failure. It should be used with caution in patients with coronary artery disease. Consult your doctor before using it. KIDNEY CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR: BRINZOX T EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney diseases. It should be used with caution in patients with minor kidney problems.
