How it works:
CAZIQ BUCCAL Paste contains triamcinolone as its active ingredient, which functions by inhibiting the release of specific inflammatory chemicals and autoimmune substances in the body that can cause mouth ulcers and oral cavity inflammation. When applied directly to the mucous membranes of the mouth, it offers targeted relief from inflammation, pain, and swelling typically associated with conditions such as aphthous ulcers.
Directions for use:
Apply CAZIQ BUCCAL Paste by gently dabbing or pressing a small amount onto the affected area of your mouth using a clean, dry finger or cotton swab. After application, a smooth, slippery film will form. Avoid rubbing the paste, as this can cause it to become crumbly, grainy, or gritty. CAZIQ BUCCAL Paste is intended for topical use in the mouth only; do not apply it to your skin, eyes, or any other parts of your body. Use CAZIQ BUCCAL Paste 2 to 3 times daily after meals or at bedtime, following the directions provided by your doctor or dentist. Your healthcare provider will determine the correct dose, duration of treatment, and frequency of application based on factors such as your age, body weight, and the severity of your condition. After applying CAZIQ BUCCAL Paste, refrain from rinsing your mouth or consuming water or other fluids for at least 30 minutes. Do not exceed 4 applications within a 24-hour period. Avoid using CAZIQ BUCCAL Paste for more than 7 days without consulting your doctor. If your condition does not improve after using this medication for more than 2 weeks, seek medical advice from your doctor.
Warning & Precaution:
PREGNANCY There is limited data on the safety of triamcinolone acetonide dental paste in pregnant women from adequate and well-controlled studies. However, retrospective analysis of similar corticosteroid medications in pregnant women suggests a potential risk of birth defects like cleft palate in the fetus. Therefore, use of CAZIQ BUCCAL Paste during pregnancy should be considered only if the benefits outweigh the risks to the fetus. BREASTFEEDING It is uncertain whether triamcinolone, when applied orally, is absorbed systemically enough to pass into breast milk. Therefore, caution should be exercised when prescribing CAZIQ BUCCAL Paste to breastfeeding women. ALLERGY Avoid using CAZIQ BUCCAL Paste if you are allergic to triamcinolone or any components of the formulation. USE IN PEDIATRICS The safety and effectiveness of triamcinolone oral paste in children have not been established. Therefore, CAZIQ BUCCAL Paste should only be used in children and adolescents (under 18 years of age) if prescribed by a physician. USE IN GERIATRICS The safety and effectiveness of triamcinolone oral paste in elderly patients have not been established. Therefore, CAZIQ BUCCAL Paste should only be used in older adults if prescribed by a physician.
