Kemorifa 450mg Tablet
Kemorifa 450mg Tablet is an antibiotic, used in the treatment of all forms of tuberculosis, an infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs and in some cases other parts of the body. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines to fight serious infections. Kemorifa 450mg Tablet may also be given to people who are carriers (people who are infected, yet do not show any signs and symptoms of infection). It should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before a meal or 2 hours after a meal. It should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. It is better to take it at the same time each day to get the most benefit and you should keep on taking this medicine for as long as you are prescribed. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat. Some people may develop side effects like low blood platelets, headache, dizziness, vomiting, nausea, and fever. These side effects are usually temporary and go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if these side effects bother you or will not go away. Before starting treatment with this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or suffering from any liver, kidney or heart problems or if you are allergic to any medicine. You may be regularly monitored with blood tests for liver function tests while using this medicine.

How it works:
Kemorifa 450mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by inactivating a bacterial enzyme (RNA-polymerase) which is required by bacteria to make essential proteins and to reproduce.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Kemorifa 450mg Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.
Warning & Precaution:
Safety Advice: Alcohol: Alcohol should be used with caution while taking Kemorifa 450mg Tablet. Pregnancy: Kemorifa 450mg Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy as there is positive evidence of fetal risk based on animal studies. However, it may still be prescribed by a doctor in situations where the benefits outweigh the risks. Breast feeding: Kemorifa 450mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from the body. Driving: Kemorifa 450mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
You may feel dizzy or faint, have problems with vision or have other side effects that could affect your ability to drive. Kidney: Kemorifa 450mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed. Liver: Kemorifa 450mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
