Soval 200mg Tablet is used to treat epilepsy (seizures). It has a calming effect on the brain by relaxing the nerves. Soval 200mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time, each day. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Never skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not stop taking it abruptly without discussing it with your doctor, as it may increase seizure frequency. Some of the common side effects of this medicine include headache, blurred vision, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, hair loss, and diarrhea. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Regular liver function monitoring is recommended while taking Soval 200mg Tablet. It is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity, significant hepatic impairment, or certain mitochondrial disorders. Use during pregnancy is not recommended due to the risk of harm to the unborn baby. Caution is also advised in patients with a history of pancreatitis or bleeding disorders. If symptoms such as persistent vomiting, abdominal pain, unusual bleeding, or jaundice occur, seek medical attention promptly.

Safety Advice: Alcohol: It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Soval 200mg Tablet Pregnancy: Soval 200mg Tablet is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Breast feeding: Available human data suggest that the drug does not pass into breast milk in clinically significant amounts and is unlikely to harm the infant. Driving: Soval 200mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. Kidney: Soval 200mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. Liver: Soval 200mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Use of Soval 200mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
