Dayfine-M Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of allergy symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and congestion or stuffiness. Dayfine-M Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early, your symptoms may come back, and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking, as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, skin rash, flu-like symptoms, and headache. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine may cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can worsen your sleepiness. Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Before you start taking this medicine, it is important to inform your doctor if you are suffering from liver or kidney disease. You should also tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

How it works:
Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger called leukotriene. This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms. Fexofenadine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of another chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing.
Directions for use:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dayfine-M Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Pregnancy: The safety of Dayfine-M Tablet during pregnancy has not been established. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, and animal data on reproductive toxicity are insufficient. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing. Breast feeding: Dayfine-M Tablet may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor. Driving: Dayfine-M Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive. Kidney: Dayfine-M Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
