How it works:
DP-Spas Tablet is a combination of two medicines: dicyclomine and diclofenac, which relieves abdominal pain and cramps. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic that works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving cramps, pain, and discomfort. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause abdominal pain and inflammation (swelling).
Directions for use:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. DP-Spas Tablet should be taken with or after food.
Warning & Precaution:
Safety Advice: Alcohol: It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with DP-Spas Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Pregnancy: DP-Spas Tablet is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
Breast feeding: DP-Spas Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving: DP-Spas Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
DP-Spas Tablet may cause headaches, blurred vision, dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. This may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney: DP-Spas Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Liver: DP-Spas Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
