Defmind Plus Tablet ER is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of depression. This medicine helps by increasing the level of chemical messengers in the brain that have a calming effect on the brain and relax the nerves, thus treating your depression. Defmind Plus Tablet ER may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms. Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, constipation, confusion, insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), memory impairment, headache, ejaculation disorder, tiredness, erectile dysfunction, low sexual desire, and uncoordinated body movements. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. However, these are temporary and usually resolve on their own. Please consult your doctor if these do not subside or bother you. Before taking it, inform your doctor if you are suffering from thyroid or kidney disease, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, glaucoma, or any heart disease. You should not take this medicine if you are under the influence of alcohol or any sleep-inducing, cough, and/ or allergy medication. You should avoid alcohol while taking Defmind Plus Tablet ER, as it may worsen certain side effects.

It is likely that you will take this medicine for at least six months but possibly much longer. It needs to be taken regularly to work effectively. Do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to.
How it works:
Defmind Plus Tablet ER is a combination of two medicines: Desvenlafaxine and Clonazepam. Desvenlafaxine is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Clonazepam is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach, which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Defmind Plus Tablet ER may be taken with or without food.
Warning & Precaution:
Safety Advice: Alcohol: Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medicine. Defmind Plus Tablet ER may cause excessive drowsiness when taken with alcohol.
Pregnancy: The safety of Defmind Plus Tablet ER during pregnancy has not been established. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, and animal data on reproductive toxicity are insufficient. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing.
Breast feeding: Defmind Plus Tablet ER is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving: Defmind Plus Tablet ER may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney: Defmind Plus Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
