Pantop D Capsule is a combination medication containing Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, and Domperidone, a prokinetic and anti-emetic. This capsule is used to treat GERD, peptic ulcers, and reflux esophagitis, along with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, acidity, heartburn, and bloating. Pantoprazole reduces gastric acid production, promoting healing of ulcers and esophageal lesions, while Domperidone enhances gastric motility and reduces nausea by blocking dopamine receptors. It should be taken 15-30 minutes before meals as directed by a physician. Common side effects include dry mouth, constipation, dizziness, and headache. Caution is advised for patients with liver, kidney, or heart conditions, and for pregnant or breastfeeding women, consultation with a healthcare provider is essential.

PANTOP D CAPSULE contains two active ingredients: domperidone and pantoprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic and anti-emetic medication. It works by blocking dopamine, a chemical messenger, in the gut, brain, and spinal cord. This action helps to stimulate the gut, reduce acid reflux, and accelerate the movement of food from the stomach into the intestines. Additionally, it inhibits nerve signal transmission between the vomiting centers and the brain, thereby reducing nausea and vomiting. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that decreases gastric acid production by inhibiting a protein membrane known as H+K+ATPase (proton pump) in the stomach lining. By lowering stomach acid levels, PANTOP D CAPSULE helps manage ulcers, heal existing ulcers and esophageal lesions, and alleviate symptoms such as acidity, bloating, burping, and indigestion.
Take PANTOP D CAPSULE 15-30 minutes before meals or as directed by your physician. Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water—do not crush or chew it. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment based on your age, body weight, and medical condition. Do not discontinue PANTOP D CAPSULE without your doctor's approval.
PREGNANCY PANTOP D CAPSULE should only be used during pregnancy if deemed necessary by your physician. Consult your doctor before use. BREASTFEEDING PANTOP D CAPSULE may be present in breast milk. It should only be used while breastfeeding if your physician considers it essential. Seek medical advice before taking it. DRIVING AND USING MACHINES PANTOP D CAPSULE does not impair your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. However, if you experience any effects that affect your ability, avoid driving or handling heavy equipment. ALCOHOL Avoid drinking alcohol while taking PANTOP D CAPSULE, as it may worsen your condition. KIDNEY Use PANTOP D CAPSULE with caution if you have kidney issues. Consult your doctor before taking it. LIVER PANTOP D CAPSULE is not recommended for individuals with moderate to severe liver impairment. It should be used cautiously in those with mild liver problems. Consult your doctor before use. ALLERGY Do not take PANTOP D CAPSULE if you are allergic to Domperidone, Pantoprazole, or any other proton pump inhibitors (such as rabeprazole or omeprazole). HEART DISEASE PANTOP D CAPSULE is not advised for patients with heart conditions like QT interval prolongation or congestive heart failure. Consult your doctor before use.
