    DERIVA BPO GEL

Deriva BPO Gel 20g is a combination topical treatment designed to manage mild to moderate acne effectively. The gel contains Adapalene, a retinoid that helps regulate the turnover of skin cells and reduces inflammation, and Benzoyl Peroxide, an antibacterial agent that exfoliates dead skin cells and reduces the bacteria that cause acne. This dual-action formula is suitable for adults and children over 9 years of age. To use, apply a thin layer of the gel to the affected areas once daily in the evening. Common side effects may include dry skin, redness, and a mild burning sensation. It is important to avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and open wounds. Pregnant women or those planning to become pregnant should consult a healthcare professional before using this medication. Regular application as prescribed helps in achieving clearer, healthier skin, with ongoing monitoring to adjust treatment as necessary.

    Product Highlights and Usage:

Active Ingredients: Contains Adapalene 0.1% and Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5%. Uses: Treats acne in adults and children aged 9 years and older. Mechanism: Adapalene modulates skin cell growth and reduces inflammation, while Benzoyl Peroxide exfoliates dead skin cells and reduces acne-causing bacteria. Dosage: Apply a thin layer to affected areas once daily. Precautions: Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and open wounds; not recommended during pregnancy.

    How it works:

DERIVA BPO GEL is a combination of two medicines, namely, adapalene and benzoyl peroxide. Adapalene is a topical retinoid (a type of vitamin A). It modulates the skin cell cycle and manages the accumulation of excess sebum (natural oil produced by the skin) and dead skin cells on the hair follicles of the skin. It also reduces inflammation on the skin. Benzoyl peroxide is a keratolytic agent with antimicrobial properties. It improves the skin's tendency to naturally exfoliate dead skin cells. It also reduces the number of acne-causing bacteria on the skin, which can reduce the further spread of acne. Collectively, they unclog the hair follicles of the skin and exfoliate dead skin cells, which reduces acne breakouts.

    Directions for use:

Apply a thin layer of DERIVA BPO GEL to the affected skin areas or as directed by the physician. It is for topical use only. Wash your hands before and after application. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending on your age, body weight, and health condition. Avoid contact with DERIVA BPO GEL with your eyes, mouth, ears, nose, hair, or with open wounds (cuts, scrapes, or sunburn).

    Warning & Precaution:

PREGNANCY CONTRAINDICATED: DERIVA BPO GEL is not recommended for use by pregnant women. Therefore, inform your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby. If you become pregnant while using this medicine, stop using it and contact your doctor immediately. BREASTFEEDING USE WITH CAUTION: DERIVA BPO GEL can be used by breastfeeding women. However, do not apply this medicine to your chest to avoid exposing it to the nursing infant. ALLERGY CONTRAINDICATED: Talk to your doctor if you are allergic to adapalene or benzoyl peroxide. USE IN PEDIATRICS CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR: DERIVA BPO GEL can be used in children and adolescents (aged 9 years or older) if advised by the physician. Therefore, consult your doctor before using it.
