    DYSMEN TAB *#

Dysmen Tablet is a combination medication containing Dicyclomine, an anticholinergic and antispasmodic agent, and Mefenamic Acid, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). This combination is effective for relieving abdominal pain and severe menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea). Dicyclomine works by blocking the effects of acetylcholine on smooth muscles, thus preventing muscle spasms, while Mefenamic Acid inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes, reducing the production of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. Patients are advised to take the tablet orally with water, preferably after meals, and to follow the dosage prescribed by their healthcare provider. Common side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort, such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, constipation, and abdominal pain. It is crucial to consult a healthcare provider before using Dysmen Tablet, especially for individuals with preexisting conditions such as renal disease, gastrointestinal disorders, or heart issues. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid using this medication unless specifically advised by a healthcare professional.

    Product Highlights and Usage:

Indication: Manages abdominal pain and severe menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea). Active Ingredients: Dicyclomine and Mefenamic Acid. Mechanism: Dicyclomine relieves muscle spasms; Mefenamic Acid reduces inflammation and pain. Usage: Take orally with water, preferably after food. Side Effects: Includes diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, constipation, and abdominal pain.

    How it works:

DYSMEN TABLET contains Dicyclomine and Mefenamic acid. Dicyclomine is an anti-spasmodic and anti-cholinergic drug. It works by blocking the effects of a chemical called acetylcholine, which is responsible for causing muscle contractions, at the acetylcholine-receptor sites. Additionally, it has a direct spasmolytic effect on smooth muscles (musculotropic), helping to relieve smooth muscle spasms in the intestine, bile duct, ureters, and uterus. Mefenamic acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, and fever-reducing properties. It works by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), which is responsible for the formation of prostaglandins that trigger the inflammatory response in the body.

    Directions for use:

Take DYSMEN TABLET as advised by your doctor. It should be taken preferably after food. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water without crushing or chewing it. Do not alter or discontinue the daily dose of DYSMEN TABLET after feeling better without consulting your doctor. Your doctor will determine the correct dose and duration for you based on your age, body weight, and medical condition.

    Warning & Precaution:

PREGNANCY DYSMEN TABLET should be used with caution in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy only if considered clearly necessary. It is strictly not recommended for use in the third trimester as it can cause heart defects in the fetus (premature closure of heart duct), delay in the onset of labor, and increased bleeding tendency in the mother. Consult your doctor before taking DYSMEN TABLET. BREASTFEEDING DYSMEN TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women due to the increased risk of serious adverse reactions in nursing infants. If DYSMEN TABLET therapy is essential for the mother, breastfeeding must be discontinued during the management period. Consult your doctor before taking DYSMEN TABLET. DRIVING AND USING MACHINES Do not drive or operate any machines if you experience dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, visual disturbances, or blurred vision after taking DYSMEN TABLET.
