Dilvas 5mg Tablet is an ACE inhibitor medication that contains Enalapril, used primarily for managing hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure. By blocking the angiotensin-converting enzyme, Enalapril helps to relax and widen blood vessels, resulting in improved blood flow and reduced blood pressure. This action helps in alleviating the workload on the heart, thus improving heart function in patients with heart failure. Typically taken once daily, the tablet is swallowed whole with water, as directed by a healthcare provider. Common side effects may include dizziness, headache, low blood pressure, nausea, and fatigue, which should be discussed with a healthcare professional if they persist or worsen. Patients with a history of angioedema or certain other health conditions should use this medication with caution and under close medical supervision.
Active Ingredient: Contains Enalapril (5 mg). Uses: Manages hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure. Mechanism: Inhibits the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), leading to relaxation of blood vessels and improved blood flow. Dosage: Taken as prescribed by a healthcare provider, typically once daily with water. Side Effects: Common side effects include dizziness, headache, low blood pressure, nausea, and fatigue.
DILVAS 5MG TABLET is effective in lowering blood pressure and alleviating symptoms of heart failure. It achieves this by inhibiting an enzyme known as angiotensin-converting enzyme, which typically causes blood vessels to constrict and blood pressure to rise. By blocking this enzyme, DILVAS helps to relax blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and reducing pressure. Additionally, the medication enhances blood flow and oxygen delivery to the heart muscles, which helps reduce the heart's workload, improve its function, and manage the risks associated with heart failure.
Take DILVAS 5MG TABLET exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet with a glass of water—do not crush or chew it. You can take the tablet with or without food.
