GATE DM EYE DROPS contain two active ingredients: Dexamethasone and Gatifloxacin. Dexamethasone is a steroid that blocks the release of certain chemicals (such as prostaglandins) that cause inflammation, redness, and swelling. When applied to the eyes, it reduces redness, soreness, pain, itching, and swelling. Gatifloxacin is an antibiotic that, when applied to the eyes, kills susceptible bacteria causing infections. Together, these medications reduce eye inflammation and infection.
Use GATE DM EYE DROPS as your physician advises. This medication is for ophthalmic use only. Tilt your head back slightly and gently pull down your lower eyelid. Instill a few drops into the eye and close your eyes for 2 minutes. Repeat for the other eye if necessary. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before applying the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting. Wash your hands before and after applying the drops. Avoid touching the container tip to your eyes, eyelids, surrounding areas, ears, or fingers to prevent contamination. Allow at least a 5-minute interval between using this and other eye medications. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration based on your age, body weight, and health condition.
