    GLYCOMET TRIO 1 TABLET

Glycomet Trio 1mg Tablet is a combination antidiabetic medication containing Glimepiride (1 mg), Metformin Hydrochloride SR (500 mg), and Voglibose (0.2 mg). This medication is designed for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when lifestyle changes and dual therapy do not adequately control blood sugar levels. Glimepiride stimulates insulin release from the pancreas, Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production and enhances insulin sensitivity, and Voglibose inhibits carbohydrate-digesting enzymes, slowing glucose absorption. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and hypoglycemia. It should be taken with meals to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort. This medication requires careful monitoring and should be used under medical supervision, especially in patients with liver, kidney, or heart conditions. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid using this medication.

    Product Highlights and Usage:

Active Ingredients: Contains Glimepiride 1 mg, Metformin Hydrochloride SR 500 mg, and Voglibose 0.2 mg. Usage: Manages type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and dual therapy are insufficient. Mechanism: Glimepiride increases insulin release, Metformin decreases glucose production, and Voglibose slows carbohydrate digestion. Suitability: Primarily for adults; not recommended for children under 18. Common Side Effects: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, metallic taste, and hypoglycemia.

    How it works:

GLYCOMET TRIO 1MG TABLET is prescribed for managing type 2 diabetes mellitus. Glimepiride in the tablet reduces blood glucose levels by stimulating the pancreas to release more insulin. Metformin decreases glucose production in the liver and reduces glucose absorption in the stomach and intestines, also improving the body's response to insulin. Voglibose works by inhibiting the alpha-glucosidase enzyme, which is responsible for breaking down complex carbohydrates into simple sugars, thereby slowing their digestion and absorption in the small intestine. This combined action helps lower blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
