How it works:
POVICIDAL SOLUTION contains povidone iodine, a chemical that penetrates microbial cell membranes and interacts with essential proteins, nucleotides, and fatty acids, leading to cell death. This action helps control infection.
Directions for use:
Always use POVICIDAL SOLUTION as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration based on your age and condition. Consult your doctor before using it. To clean the skin of the patient before a procedure: After shaving the operation site, wet the area with water. Apply POVICIDAL SOLUTION to the affected area for 2 minutes using a sterile gauze dipped in water. Create a lather, then wash it off. For preoperative skin cleaning (disinfecting) by staff from the operating department: Wet hands with water. Pour 5 ml of POVICIDAL SOLUTION onto each palm and distribute evenly. Rub the solution well for at least 2 minutes without adding more water. Clean your fingernails thoroughly. Add a little water to create a lather, then rinse thoroughly under running water. As a topical solution: Clean the affected area. Apply POVICIDAL SOLUTION to the area and either leave it uncovered or cover it with a sterile bandage.
