Pantin L Capsule is a combination medication designed for the short-term management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcers. It contains Levosulpiride, which enhances gastric motility by blocking dopamine D2 receptors in the gut, and Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid production. This dual action alleviates symptoms such as heartburn, nausea, and stomach discomfort. The capsule should be taken one hour before meals. Common side effects include headache, dizziness, and gastrointestinal issues. It is advised to avoid alcohol and consult a doctor for long-term use, especially in elderly patients or those with liver and kidney issues.
Active Ingredients: Contains Levosulpiride (75 mg) and Pantoprazole (40 mg), which are a dopamine D2 antagonist and a proton pump inhibitor, respectively. Primary Uses: Effectively manages gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Mechanism of Action: Reduces stomach acid production and enhances gastric motility, alleviating symptoms like heartburn, nausea, and stomach discomfort. Administration: Should be taken one hour before meals, as directed by a physician. Common Side Effects: Includes headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and constipation.
PANTIN L CAPSULE reduces stomach ulcers and acid reflux, where pantoprazole acts by inhibiting the secretions of stomach acid by blocking the proton pump (H+ K+ ATPase) at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells. Levosulpiride facilitates gastric emptying and bowel movements by blocking dopamine D2 receptors in the gut. This combination helps reduce acid reflux, heal stomach ulcers, and address esophageal lesions
