    PANTOCID D CAP

Pantocid D Capsule is a combination medication designed to manage conditions such as peptic ulcers, GERD, and reflux esophagitis. It contains Domperidone, which acts as a prokinetic agent with antiemetic properties, blocking dopamine receptors to enhance gut motility and reduce nausea. Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, works by inhibiting the proton pumps in the stomach lining, significantly reducing acid secretion. This dual action alleviates symptoms like acidity, heartburn, bloating, and nausea, while promoting ulcer healing. The capsule should be taken 15-30 minutes before meals. Common side effects include dry mouth, constipation, and flatulence. Consultation with a healthcare provider is essential, especially for individuals with liver, kidney, or heart issues, and for pregnant or breastfeeding women?.

    Product Highlights and Usage:

Active Ingredients: Contains Domperidone (10 mg) and Pantoprazole (20 mg), which are a dopamine D2 antagonist and a proton pump inhibitor, respectively. Primary Uses: Treats peptic ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and reflux esophagitis, and manages symptoms like nausea and vomiting. Mechanism of Action: Reduces gastric acid production and enhances gastrointestinal motility, relieving symptoms such as heartburn, acidity, and bloating. Administration: Should be taken 15-30 minutes before meals, as prescribed by a physician. Common Side Effects: Includes dry mouth, constipation, headache, dizziness, and flatulence.

    How it works:

PANTOCID D CAPSULE contains two medications: domperidone and pantoprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic agent with anti-emetic properties. It functions by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger called dopamine in the gut and in the brain and spinal cord. This mechanism stimulates gut activity, decreases acid reflux, and accelerates the movement of food from the stomach to the intestines. It also inhibits the transmission of nerve signals between the vomiting centers and the brain, thereby reducing the occurrence of nausea and vomiting. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that decreases gastric acid secretion by blocking the action of a protein called H+K+ATPase (proton pump) found in the stomach lining. By lowering stomach acid production, PANTOCID D CAPSULE helps prevent the worsening of ulcers, promotes healing of existing ulcers and esophageal lesions, and provides relief from uncomfortable gastrointestinal symptoms such as acidity, bloating, burping, and indigestion.

    Directions for use:

Take PANTOCID D CAPSULE 15-30 minutes before meals or as directed by your physician. Swallow the capsule with a glass of water; do not crush or chew it. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment based on your age, body weight, and medical condition. Do not discontinue PANTOCID D CAPSULE unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

BREASTFEEDING PANTOCID D CAPSULE may pass into breast milk and should only be used in breastfeeding women if considered essential by a physician. Consult your doctor for advice.
