How it works:
RACIPER D CAPSULE contains two medicines: domperidone and esomeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic medicine with anti-emetic properties. It works by blocking the actions of the chemical messenger dopamine in the gut and across the brain and spinal cord. This action stimulates the gut, reduces acid reflux, and speeds up the movement of food from the stomach into the intestines. It also blocks the transmission of nerve signals between the vomiting centers and the brain, reducing the onset of nausea and vomiting. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces gastric acid secretion by blocking the actions of the protein membrane H+K+ ATPase (proton pump) present in the stomach lining. By reducing stomach acid production, RACIPER D CAPSULE helps manage the worsening of ulcers, heals existing ulcers and esophageal lesions, and provides relief from unpleasant symptoms of the GI tract, such as acidity, bloating, burping, and indigestion.
Directions for use:
Take RACIPER D CAPSULE 30 minutes to 1 hour before meals, or as directed by your physician. Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water, without crushing or chewing it. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration of therapy based on your age, body weight, and medical condition. Do not stop taking RACIPER D CAPSULE unless your doctor advises you to do so.
