Reclimet Tablet combines Gliclazide and Metformin to manage type II diabetes mellitus in adults. This combination medication works by increasing insulin secretion from the pancreas, enhancing the body's sensitivity to insulin, and reducing glucose production in the liver. It is particularly useful for patients who do not achieve adequate glycemic control with diet, exercise, and monotherapy alone. However, it is contraindicated in individuals with type I diabetes, severe heart, kidney, or liver conditions, and during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Common side effects include hypoglycemia, gastrointestinal disturbances, and skin reactions. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels and adherence to prescribed dosages are essential for effective diabetes management.
Active Ingredients: Gliclazide 80 mg, Metformin 500 mg. Indications: Effective in managing type II diabetes mellitus in adults when diet, exercise, and monotherapy are inadequate. Mechanism: Stimulates insulin secretion, increases insulin sensitivity, and reduces hepatic glucose production. Contraindications: Not suitable for type I diabetes, severe heart failure, kidney or liver disease, pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Side Effects: Common side effects include hypoglycemia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, metallic taste, rash, and itching.
RECLIMET TABLET effectively manages blood glucose levels. Gliclazide increases insulin production by stimulating the pancreas, while Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver, decreases glucose absorption in the intestines, and enhances insulin sensitivity. Together, these actions help improve glucose uptake and utilization by the body.
