Primolut N Tablet contains Norethisterone, a synthetic form of the hormone progesterone, used to manage various gynecological conditions. It effectively treats heavy menstrual bleeding, irregular periods, painful periods, endometriosis, and premenstrual tension. Additionally, it can delay menstruation when required. Norethisterone works by inhibiting the release of certain hormones responsible for ovulation, thus regulating the menstrual cycle and reducing bleeding. The tablet is taken orally with water as prescribed by a healthcare professional. Common side effects include irregular bleeding, stomach discomfort, headache, nausea, and breast tenderness. Regular medical follow-ups are recommended to adjust dosages and monitor treatment efficacy and side effects.
