How it works:
SEROFLO 250 INHALER combines two medicines: fluticasone and salbutamol. -Fluticasone is an inhaled corticosteroid that blocks the release of inflammatory chemical messengers in the airways, such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, which cause inflammation and swelling. -Salmeterol is a bronchodilator that relaxes and widens the smooth muscles of the airways. Directions for use:
Use SEROFLO 250 INHALER as directed by your doctor. It is intended for inhalation only. Inhale the medicine through your mouth and not your nose. Follow the instructions provided in the leaflet: 1. Prime the inhaler by releasing two puffs into the air. 2. Place the mouthpiece between your teeth and close your lips tightly around it. Breathe in slowly and deeply through your mouth while pressing the top of the canister to release a puff of medicine. 3. Remove the inhaler from your mouth and hold your breath for about 10 seconds or as long as comfortable. 4. Wait about 30 seconds before taking another puff. 5. After use, wipe the mouthpiece with a dry tissue and close the device. Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out, or brush your teeth. Your doctor will decide the correct dose, duration, and number of puffs based on your age, body weight, and medical condition. Do not begin using this medicine until you have been shown how to use it correctly by your healthcare provider.
