Repace H Tablet combines Hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic, and Losartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, to effectively manage essential hypertension. Hydrochlorothiazide helps reduce blood pressure by increasing urine output, thereby removing excess fluid from the body. Losartan works by inhibiting the binding of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to narrow, resulting in relaxed blood vessels and reduced blood pressure. This dual-action medication is especially beneficial for patients at risk of heart or kidney complications due to high blood pressure. It is taken orally, with dosage and duration determined by a healthcare provider. Common side effects include dizziness, cough, and muscle cramps, with more severe reactions requiring immediate medical attention. Regular monitoring by a healthcare professional ensures the safe and effective use of Repace H.
Active Ingredients: Contains Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg and Losartan 50 mg. Uses: Manages essential hypertension by reducing elevated blood pressure and protecting against heart and kidney complications. Administration: Taken orally with or without food as prescribed by a physician. Precautions: Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or patients with severe liver or kidney impairment. Side Effects: Common side effects include dizziness, cough, diarrhea, muscle cramps, and headache.
REPACE H reduces elevated blood pressure by combining the effects of two active ingredients: hydrochlorothiazide and losartan. Hydrochlorothiazide works by increasing the excretion of water and salt (sodium) through the kidneys, which helps reduce blood volume and lower blood pressure. Losartan works by inhibiting the binding of angiotensin II, a substance produced in the kidneys that causes blood vessels to narrow. By blocking this action, losartan helps relax the blood vessels, further reducing elevated blood pressure.
Take REPACE H as directed by your physician. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water without crushing or chewing it. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration based on your age, body weight, and medical condition.
PREGNANCY REPACE H is not recommended for use in pregnant women and should not be taken if you are more than 3 months pregnant, as it may cause serious harm to your baby. Consult your doctor before taking REPACE H. DRIVING AND USING MACHINES Avoid driving or operating machines if your ability is affected after taking REPACE H. ALCOHOL Avoid alcohol consumption while taking REPACE H, as it may aggravate your condition and enhance the effects of the medication. KIDNEY REPACE H is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney impairment or in those whose kidneys are not producing any urine. It should be used with caution in patients with renal artery stenosis (narrowing of the renal arteries), those functioning with one kidney, or those who have recently had a kidney transplant. Consult your doctor before taking REPACE H. LIVER REPACE H is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver impairment. It should be used with caution in patients with a history of mild to moderate liver impairment. Consult your doctor before taking REPACE H.
