    TACROZ OINTMENT

Tacroz Ointment 10gm is a topical medication containing 0.03% Tacrolimus, designed to manage moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema). As an immunomodulator, Tacrolimus works by inhibiting the immune responses that lead to inflammation, redness, and itching, providing relief when other treatments are ineffective. This ointment is suitable for both adults and children aged 2 years and above. To ensure optimal results, it should be applied in a thin layer to the affected areas. Patients are advised to avoid direct sunlight exposure during treatment and should wait at least two hours before applying any moisturizers. Common side effects may include skin irritation, a burning sensation at the application site, and increased sensitivity to temperature.

    Product Highlights and Usage:

Active Ingredient: Contains Tacrolimus 0.03%, an immunosuppressant that helps manage atopic dermatitis (eczema). Usage: Designed for both adults and children over 2 years to treat moderate to severe eczema when other treatments fail. Application: Apply a thin layer to affected areas; suitable for use with moisturizers, but ensure a 2-hour gap. Precautions: Avoid exposure to sunlight, and consult a doctor if pregnant, breastfeeding, or if other skin conditions are present. Side Effects: Common side effects include skin irritation, redness, and increased sensitivity to temperature.

    How it works:

TACROZ OINTMENT is an immunosuppressive treatment that functions by inhibiting the release of specific chemicals, like T-cells, which trigger allergic and inflammatory reactions. When applied to the skin, it dampens the immune system’s overreaction to allergens, helping to alleviate symptoms such as skin dryness, redness, itching, and inflammation associated with autoimmune skin conditions.

    Directions for use:

Apply a small amount of TACROZ OINTMENT to the affected skin areas or as directed by your physician. It is intended for topical use only. Be sure to wash your hands before and after applying the ointment, unless your hands are also being treated. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage and duration of treatment based on your age, body weight, and overall health. Do not discontinue or misuse TACROZ OINTMENT without consulting your doctor. Avoid getting the ointment in your eyes, mouth, ears, nose, or on open wounds. Also, do not cover the treated area with bandages, dressings, or clothing.

    Warning & Precaution:

PREGNANCY TACROZ OINTMENT should be used in pregnant women only if considered necessary by the physician. Therefore, consult your doctor before using it. BREASTFEEDING TACROZ OINTMENT should be used in breastfeeding women only if considered necessary by the physician. Therefore, consult your doctor before using it. DRIVING AND USING MACHINES TACROZ OINTMENT is unlikely to affect your ability to drive and use machinery. However, do not drive or handle any heavy tools or machines if your ability is affected by TACROZ OINTMENT. ALCOHOL Avoid consumption of alcohol while using TACROZ OINTMENT as it may make your skin look more flushed. LIVER TACROZ OINTMENT should be used with caution in patients with liver problems (such as liver failure). Therefore, consult your doctor before using it. ALLERGY Talk to your doctor before using TACROZ OINTMENT if you are allergic to Tacrolimus or to any macrolide antibiotics (such as erythromycin, azithromycin).
