How it works:
BRINZOX EYE DROPS effectively lowers intraocular pressure by inhibiting the enzyme carbonic anhydrase. This enzyme normally stimulates the production of aqueous humor (fluid in the eyes), leading to increased intraocular pressure. By blocking carbonic anhydrase, BRINZOX EYE DROPS reduce the production of aqueous humor, thereby alleviating symptoms such as eye pain, headaches, or blurred vision associated with elevated eye pressure.
Directions for use:
Follow your physician's instructions carefully when using BRINZOX EYE DROPS. This medication is for ophthalmic use only; do not swallow it. Before and after application, wash your hands thoroughly. Tilt your head slightly back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Administer a few drops of the medication into the affected eye(s). Close your eyes and gently press the corner of your eye with your finger for one minute. Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any other surface to prevent contamination. After applying BRINZOX EYE DROPS, wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye drops or ointments. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before using BRINZOX EYE DROPS and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. The correct dosage and duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor based on the severity of your condition. Do not discontinue using BRINZOX EYE DROPS without consulting your doctor, as this could lead to a recurrence of elevated eye pressure that may be difficult to manage.
