T-Bact Ointment 5gm is a topical antibiotic that contains Mupirocin, used to treat primary and secondary bacterial skin infections like impetigo, folliculitis, and minor wounds. Mupirocin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, effectively controlling the infection. Apply a small amount to the affected area 2 to 3 times daily for up to 10 days as advised by your physician. It is crucial to avoid contact with the eyes and use it cautiously around central venous cannulation sites. Common side effects include burning and itching at the application site.
