Pipbact 4.5gm Injection is a potent combination of Piperacillin and Tazobactam used to manage severe bacterial infections like pneumonia, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and intra-abdominal infections. Piperacillin disrupts bacterial cell wall synthesis, while Tazobactam prevents bacterial resistance by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes. This combination ensures a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect. The injection is generally well-tolerated but may cause side effects such as diarrhea, yeast infections, and nausea. It should be used with caution in patients with kidney or liver issues, and those allergic to penicillin or cephalosporins should avoid it. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their healthcare provider before use.
Active Ingredients: Piperacillin and Tazobactam. Uses: Treats severe bacterial infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and intra-abdominal infections. Mechanism: Piperacillin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, and Tazobactam inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes, enhancing antibacterial efficacy. Common Side Effects: Diarrhea, yeast infection, headache, nausea, vomiting, rash, and injection site reactions. Precautions: Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver issues, and avoid use in individuals allergic to penicillin or cephalosporins. Consult a doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
PIPBACT 4.5GM INJECTION combats bacterial infections by disrupting bacterial growth. Piperacillin works by interfering with cell wall formation, binding to the enzymes involved in synthesizing the cell wall. This binding leads to defects in the cell wall and ultimately causes the bacterial cell to die. Tazobactam acts by irreversibly inhibiting beta-lactamases, enzymes that protect bacteria from antibiotics. While tazobactam alone has limited antibacterial activity, it is used in combination with other antibiotics to enhance effectiveness. Together, piperacillin and tazobactam manage bacterial cell growth and function, effectively inhibiting bacterial proliferation.
