Tiomate Transhaler 180md is a combination inhaler that includes Tiotropium, a long-acting muscarinic antagonist, and Formoterol, a long-acting beta-agonist. This dual-action inhaler is specifically formulated to manage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma by providing both maintenance therapy and quick relief from bronchospasm. Tiotropium works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, ensuring long-term bronchodilation, while Formoterol provides immediate relief by quickly opening the airways. The inhaler is typically used once daily, making it convenient for patients to maintain consistent lung function and reduce the frequency of exacerbations. Common side effects include dry mouth, sore throat, and headaches. Regular use as prescribed by a healthcare provider is essential for optimal management of COPD and asthma symptoms.

Pull the cap upwards. Hold the base of the inhaler firmly and open the mouthpiece by pulling it upwards in the direction of the arrow. Remove a TIOMATE from the bottle immediately before use and close the bottle tightly. Place one dose in the capsule-shaped compartment at the base of the inhaler. Do not store the medicine in the inhaler. Never place the medicine directly into the mouthpiece. Close the mouthpiece until you hear a click, leaving the cap open. Hold the inhaler with the mouthpiece facing upwards, and press the piercing button firmly once. Release the button. This will pierce the medicine and prepare it for inhalation. Make sure to breathe out fully before doing this, keeping your breath away from the mouthpiece. Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and keep your head upright. Close your lips around the mouthpiece and breathe in slowly and deeply until you hear or feel the medicine vibrating inside the compartment. Hold your breath as long as comfortable while removing the inhaler from your mouth, then breathe normally. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to ensure the medicine is completely used.
