Telma CT 40/6.25mg Tablet is a combination medication used to treat high blood pressure. By relaxing blood vessels and helping the body eliminate excess fluid, it helps lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiovascular events. It is typically prescribed when single-drug therapy is not sufficient to control blood pressure. Patients should follow their doctor's instructions closely and avoid stopping the medication abruptly. Side effects can include dizziness, headaches, and gastrointestinal discomfort, and patients should ensure they remain well-hydrated during treatment
Combination Therapy: Contains Telmisartan (40 mg) and Chlorthalidone (6.25 mg) to effectively treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Mechanism of Action: Telmisartan works by relaxing blood vessels, while Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that helps remove excess water and sodium from the body, lowering blood pressure. Primary Uses: Used to manage high blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular complications. Precautions: Not suitable for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and should be used cautiously in patients with kidney or liver issues. Common Side Effects: May include dizziness, headache, nausea, back pain, and flu-like symptoms.
TELMA CT 40/6.25MG TABLET helps lower blood pressure through a combination of two actions. Telmisartan blocks angiotensin, a hormone that regulates blood pressure and fluid balance, causing blood vessels to relax. Chlorthalidone removes excess water and certain electrolytes from the body, leading to further relaxation of blood vessels and improved blood flow, ultimately reducing high blood pressure.
