How it works:
BRO ZEDEX SF EXPECTORANT is a combination of Bromhexine, Guaiphenesin, and Terbutaline. Bromhexine liquefies thick, tenacious sputum by dissolving mucopolysaccharide fibers, reducing sputum viscosity, and improving mucociliary clearance of secretions. Guaiphenesin increases the output of sputum and bronchial secretions by reducing adhesiveness and surface tension, thereby decreasing the viscosity of tenacious sputum. Terbutaline is a directly acting sympathomimetic agent with a selective beta-2 stimulant effect, which helps to alleviate bronchospasm associated with cough.
